Hello everyone!

Eric here with a little update. I’ve been quiet over here because…you’ll be sick of me soon. That’s all that I can say.

In the meantime, I’ve been bringing back the drum cover videos that kept some folks entertained during the pandemic. So far I’ve done “Chuck E.’s In Love” by Rickie Lee Jones and “My Boo” by the Ghost Town DJ’s. Tonight I’m covering “Ballad Of Dorothy Parker” by Prince. It may be the toughest beat I’ve ever learned. It sounds like it was programmed on a Linn Drum, so I tried my best to approximate it with all acoustic sounds. I’m finally using my real deal recording rig to do these videos instead of the Yamaha EAD10. The Yamaha was great when I didn’t know anything about recording, but now that I’ve done lots of remote tracking…I think I’m starting to get it.

Speaking of remote tracking…I’m available for the next two months to make your songs groove a little more than Kyle in Logic! So please hit me up on the social medias or here if you’re looking to get weird and floppy.

Behind the paywall this evening is my full transcription of the Prince groove. Check it out, nerds! I’ve divided it into two drumkits to show you how intricate the pattern is. Prince was an absolute genius and this song proves it.
